The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has given $15 million to a gynecologist who will treat the Democratic nominee for president and a family member, a source familiar with the arrangement said on Tuesday.
The donation is part of a campaign to help elect the next Democratic president.
A spokesperson for the DNC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The source also said that the DNC would give a $5,000 match to each candidate’s campaign.
The DNC is also donating $5 million to the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee that will give money to the candidate’s general election campaign.
There are about 2.5 million Americans who have a health condition that can affect fertility, and the Trump campaign has spent months highlighting the issue.
“It’s about women’s health and we want to see the Democrats help elect Hillary Clinton the next president,” a source close to the campaign told The Associated Press.
“That’s why the campaign is focusing on helping elect Hillary and giving them a lot of resources.”
The DCCC previously pledged to spend $2.5 billion on the general election in 2020.
Trump’s campaign has made a name for itself with frequent anti-abortion ads and has tried to link abortion to breast cancer.
A recent Fox News poll showed 58 percent of Americans support abortion rights.
The GOP nominee, meanwhile, has been less vocal on abortion rights, although he has said that he would sign legislation banning abortion if elected.
He has called abortion a “horrible thing” and called for a constitutional amendment to overturn Roe v. Wade.
